Thai Air Force after World War II as part of a plan designed to keep Thailand
strong enough to resist the oncoming tide of communism. |

North American AT-6 "Texans," photographed at Korat
RTAFB in 1961, were used to train Thai pilots, just as it had broken in
so many American and allied cadets during the World War II era. It was
also armed and pressed into service against Communist insurgents. |
